I was born in a family, where cars were always in the middle of attention. They were respected and I guess I brought my early childhood memories to my adult life as well. I am not crazy about cars, but still like to look at some beauties, especially a good equipped off-road vehicle.

The Emirates National Auto Museum is more of a guy thing, but unique looking models are interesting to women too
During our UAE travel we were driving from Abu Dhabi to Liwa when noticing big signs for Emirates National Auto Museum. It looked interesting and we decided to visit it. After all, we had two guys in our team of four.
The Emirates National Auto Museum can be found about an hour drive south from Abu Dhabi and it is easy to find. You will see the museum, before you will even know it is the museum. Its tall pyramid-shaped building will definitely rise your attention.
The Emirates National Auto Museum is a private car collection of Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan and includes around 200 vehicles.
You can find all types of vehicles inside of the Emirates National Auto Museum – from racing cars, off-road vehicles, luxury cars, unique and costume made models.

The Emirates National Auto Museum also includes one of the world’s largest collection of off-road vehicles

Eight times oversized replica of the Dodge Power Wagon truck is a 4 bedroom apartment and is the centerpiece of the Emirates National Auto Museum
In the middle of the Emirates National Auto Museum stands impressive Dodge Power Wagon Truck, which is 8 times oversized replica. It is 5 meters high and is towable. There is even a complete apartment inside of the car cabin, including 4 bedrooms with huge open terrace.
Sheikh’s trademark was rainbow and the Emirates National Auto Museum also owns several Mercedes cars with a rainbow design. They are all equipped with TV and refrigerator. The Sheikh had one Mercedes for each day of the week. The Mercedes company in Germany even stopped their production line for this special order.
Some of the cars were even used in the BBC TV program TOP Gear. Outside and just behind the museum building stand two amazing replicas; one is 4:1 scale Jeep and other is 4:1 scale Land Rover. They both look impressive! If we got correct information, both replicas are drivable.
If you are into cars, you should definitely put a visit to the Emirates National Auto Museum in your schedule, when visiting UAE. If you are like my dad, make sure to reserve at least few hours here. 🙂
