Hotel Felsenhof is a four star hotel, scoring high on booking (9/10) and tripadvisor (4.5/5).Visiting hotel Felsenhof during the women alpine ski world cup in Bad Kleinkirchheim, we realized too, why the reviews get so high.

Location of Hotel Felsenhof

Location is always a big deal for us. The best location for a hotel is of course in the middle of hustle and bustle, what often means accommodation should be right in the center of the town. Hotel Felsenhof is not in the center of Bad Kleinkirchheim, but is about 2 kilometers further out. The location is still not bad, as the downtown can be reached in about 20 minutes by foot. On the other side the location of the Hotel Felsenhof offers amazing views on the valley and Bad Kleinkirchheim, not to mention the FIS ski track can be seen from its rooms.

Rooms in Hotel Felsenhof

The Hotel Felsenhof is made out of new and old part of the hotel. Even thought we were set in the old part, our room offered us everything we needed to feel comfortable. The room was big in size and beside the large king bed and bathroom with double sink, shower and toilet, we also had a sofa and a nice area to sit and enjoy the views threw the panoramic windows.

Food in Hotel Felsenhof

If you really want to unwind while being on holidays, but still want to stay flexible, your best choice during your stay in the Hotel Felsenhof is booking a half board. You will start your day with a nice buffet breakfast and ended it with a 5 course dinner, which was a really nice surprise. The meals all had a modern touch, but still offered enough food to be completely full at the end.

Additional service in Hotel Felsenhof

Hotel Felsenhof has a four star ranking, what brings a lot of extra services to their guests. If you are traveling to Bad Kleinkirchheim by your own car, you have a completely free parking garage available. Free to use is also hotel’s indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, small gym and Wi-Fi. The only down side of the hotel we felt as bloggers, is that Wi-Fi is not available in the room, but only in open areas and even that was not really working smoothly. But I guess most people come to the Hotel Felsenhof to relax and they probably don’t really miss the Wi-FI as much as we did.

No matter where we travel, we get some of the best memories also because of the people we meet on the road. The personnel in the Hotel Felsenhof made us really feel welcome and it does not happen often that each new guest is greeted by the owner at the dining table on the first day of arrival.

The thing I loved most about the hotel was the indoor swimming pool. How inviting does that look! The patchy Wifi would be very annoying. Asia seems to manage free wifi in rooms as well as shared areas so well!

I ask myself often about the Wi-fi too… Still couldn’t figured it out, how come in Asia the connection is so much better and really everywhere available, even though Europe has itself for a more developed place…
