The Eiffel tower attracts crowds from all over the world each day, including us two. We have been at the foot of the tower during the day and night and to be honest both was nice. But the evening did make even bigger impression on us. As soon as the lights were on, we could not help ourselves but stare with our mouths wide opened – wow!

We have indulged ourselves with a boat trip on the River Seine, which showed us another view of Paris. If you are lucky enough to have nice weather, you can definitely put this as one of the most romantic things to do in Paris.

Wandering around Paris and crossing bridges showed us historical and magnificent buildings of the city. The love key locks put a big smile on our faces too. Even though we have not locked our love in Paris, we have already done it in Ljubljana few years back. If you have not done it yet, do it in Paris!

A walk around the famous bohemian quarter Montmartre should be everyone’s must. We enjoyed its vibe so much that from having only a cup of coffee in a cafe, we ended up having three course lunch. If something feels right, it does not make any sense to stop what you’re doing and that is why we were there for hours.

The sounds of accordions in old narrow streets make it for the charm. Passing local bakeries, from which you can smell freshly baked croissants, is like icing on the cake. That sure is the romantic Paris we have imagined ourselves before traveling there. Not to mention the delicious macaroons, which I had been eating every single day – thanks to the hotel Phileas.

Last but not least, make sure to have a glass of good local wine with your love one when in Paris. We bought a bottle of red cabernet sauvignon and wanted to have a romantic time in one of Parisians parks, but because it was just too cold for that, we ended up in our room. Nevertheless, we had a great time and most importantly it was our time. Timeless and unforgettable… Thank you Paris!
