It is no secret that we love to spend time at the coast. Whenever we can, we try to travel somewhere, where we can also relax on the beach and get some tan. We are lucky enough to be living in Slovenia, as its location is great for day trips to NW Istria in Croatia.
We visit NW Istria few times per year and we were there also the previous weekend. If we already spend some time in Umag and Novigrad, we never skip a quick trip to Grožnjan.
Ever since Simon and I have been together, we keep coming back to Grožnjan. After all, Grožnjan is our favorite place in NW Istria.
Who can resist charming old, narrow and cobbled stone streets, full of history, photography motives, gorgeous views and artistic feel due to many musicians and painters, attending summer classes and colonies?
If you are a keen cyclist, you might be visiting Grožnjan as a short stop when cycling on the Paranzzana bike path, which goes all the way from Trieste, Italy to Poreč, Croatia.
If you will ever find yourself in NW Istria, make sure not to miss Grožnjan. We loved it there and I think you will too.
