Grossglockner in Austria is known as one of the most spectacular mountain roads in the world and perfect for all kinds of road trip enthusiasts.
As soon as we found out we are teesting a new Toyota yaris Hybrid, as part of the campaign, we decided to put it on the real test and drove up the Grossglockner in Austria.

It was cold, rainny and snowy, but it is always fun on a roadtrip (Grossglockner, Austria)
Well, we would rather test one of their 4×4, but hey, we said to give it a try and see what this so called city car can manage. We were thinking where to go to test Toyota Yaris Hybrid, when the answer popped up – let’s do a roadtrip to Austria – to Lienz town and explore its mountain road up to Grossglockner.

The weather conditions did not look like summer, eventhough we were there in June (Grossglockner, Austria)
Our roadtrip to Grossglockner was not just special because of the brand new Toyota Yaris Hybrid, but also because we staid the night in one of the best hotels in Austria – The Grand Hotel Lienz. This luxury 5 star hotel was truly amazing for our weekend getaway.

We were hoping for a nice sunny weather, as the views should be amazing, but instead of the sun, we were welcomed with cold and rainy day. Oh well, maybe these weather conditions were even better to put the Toyota Yaris Hybrid truly to the test.

Even to a bad weather, we managed to get some beautiful views (Grossglockner, Austria)
We might have not had the perfect views, but even though the drive up to the windy road was a great fun and unique adventure. If we would have sun, it might already be too perfect.

Grossglockner was a great test for our Toyota Yaris Hybrid. Even though it might be a small city car, the whole roadtrip with it was very enjoyable. No matter what kind of a car you owe, you are the only one, who stands on your way… But to be totally honest with you, the best car for our travel style and love for off-road adventures is still our one and only Toyota Landcruiser.
