Dubai is without a doubt a world metropolis, which everyone should visit once in a life time. Even though you are more into nature and tradition, visiting Dubai will not leave you indifferent.
Concrete jungle is home to some of the most known skyscrapers in the world. Its modern architecture and attractions are inviting people from all around the world.
Even though Dubai gets tons of tourists daily, we still managed to find a place, which hardly get any tourists. I am talking about Dubai fish market in Deira. Walking among the fish stalls and sellers at Dubai fish market was a very surprising and unique experience – at least for Dubai.
We were two couples traveling to UAE and our female part of the team got such attention, that we could not do anything else than smile. From time to time it felt like being a celebrity. I think I have never had so many people around me than here at Dubai fish market. All the cell phones were out and people were waiting in line to take photos with us.
But wait, that was not all… I guess we were just not so interesting without holding a fish in our hands, as everyone tried to put fish, a shrimp and even an octopus in our hands. Crazy!
This story from Dubai fish market clearly shows that even in a touristy city with almost no history and traditions, there are still areas, where you do get to know the real Arabic hospitality – but it’s of course completely up to you, if you even want to find it.
TRAVEL TIP: The easiest and cheapest way to reach the Dubai fish market is taking the metro – green line, Palm Deira station.
